The Greyhound has been around at least since 2751 BC They have been around Nobility always. Their favorite chase is the Hare but have depictions of going for much larger game. The Spaniards brought them to America in the 1500's. George Washington had one named "Azor" during the Revolution, George Custer had many Greyhounds and President Hayes had one named "Grim".
The Greyhound is the fastest breed of Dog. Don't Let go of the Leash!  It was first recognized by the AKC in 1885 and is at #151 in the 2016 Most Popular Breed List.
